Starbucks like Caramel Macchiato ================================= - In expresso, add 1 oz vanilla syrup, then steamed milk with foam on top. Drizzel top with caramel sauce Caramel Sauce ============= - 1/2 cup brown sugar - 2 tbsp butter - 1/4 cup half and half (I used heavy whipping cream I had) - pinch of salt 1) Mix + stir all ingredients in small sauce pan. Heat on med-low for 1 min 2) Reduce to low + simmer 10 min 3) Remove from heat and allow to cool (and thicken) Store in fridge a couple weeks or so (out of fridge a few days) Vanilla Syrup ============= - 1 cup sugar - 1 cup water - 1.5 tbsp vanilla extract 1) Add sugar + water to small saucepan. Bring to boil + then reduce heat + simmer 5 min 2) Wait to cool, then add vanilla extract Store in fridge up to 2 weeks.
